We have published a new video that explains how the New York False Claims Act is a unique whistleblower program that encourages individuals to report tax violations. The video uses the ongoing public investigation into possible tax violation by the Trump Organization (and its Chief Financial Officer, Allen Weisselberg) as a hypothetical. What if, for example, Mr. Weisselberg voluntarily came forward and informed the government about tax violations. Rather than be the target of a government investigation, someone in Mr. Weisselberg’s position could be a whistleblower — entitled to protection and possible financial reward.  You can view the video here or below.
